This was another very successful weekend for (Uszaki MUUMI).
At Finnish Winner Show in Helsinki on Saturday Muumi won Junior Class, becoming Finnish Junior Winner'05 and then was Best Dog 2!
But this was not the end: On Suday at Nordic Winner Show, again in Helsinki, Muumi copied his success, winning Junior class, becoming Nordic Junior Winner'05 and then Best Dog 2! On both days he also won his next CCs.
What an end to this great year!
17.12 Szyszka's (Int.Ch. NAWLOC Lisiura) puppies are two weeks old and their eyes are open. In top row you can see three girls, and below three boys. All are very very pretty & round...
On Sunday Nutka (Pirtek VENTO NOTTURNO) (on the left picture) made her debut in the show ring, becoming BOB Puppy at Nowy Dwor Mazowiecki Nat. Show!
Paputek (Uszaki MUUMIPAPPA) won his class, winning his first "adult" CC and the BOB title went to Vika (Uszaki VILIJONKKA)
TThis weekend Muumi (Uszaki MUUMI) spent in Vilnus, Lithuania.
And what a weekend it was! At the International Vilnus Winter Winner Show he was BOB Junior, winning the titles of Lithuanian Junior Champion and Vilnus Winter Junior Winner'05.
On Sunday he was shown for the first time in "adult" class (becoming 15 months old just a day before) and... at a National Show he went BOB, while at Herding Dogs Club Show he went ... BOB (and becoming Lithuanian Club Winner'05) and later also Best In Show4!
The very red daugther of Bert&Wilma "Tuuli" (Pirtek VENTO PRIMAVERA) was BOB Puppy at Pupy Show in Helsinki! Boy, what a weekend...
Szyszeczka i.e. Int.Ch. NAWLOC Lisiura, became the proud mother of three red girls and three boys (two red and one tricolour). All of them are natural bobtails! In top row you can see three girls, and below three boys.
How may dogs are pictured on the photo? No, it's not one and the same dog. These are two different dogs!
Well, maybe not so different as it's Bert and his little son Oliver i.e. Pirtek VENTO D'MAGGIO.
Bert was pictured at 5 months and Oliver at 6 months. Until now I thought that little Bert's daughter Nuta is Bert's best look-alike, but Oliver beat her by a mile!
No, this is not a cardigan. It's not even Bert's little red daughter. Let me introduce our favourite "walk companion" - Szyszka (officially Int.Ch, PL&RUS.Ch , CLUB W'04&'05 NAWLOC Lisiura), a welsh corgi pembroke.
In a week Szyszka will become a mum of little szyszkas (shown on the photo on the right - aren't they beautiful?) which will be born in the (soon) famous CORGON BLUE kennel owned by Magda Chmielowska. We will be showing next pictures of Szyszka's puppies here, so please visit us again!
Little Muumi Uszaki MUUMI won Junior class one more time (at International Show in Jyyvaskila, Finland and then went Best Dog3, winning his 7th CC (from 8 shows)!
There were over 30 cardis and over 60 pembrokes enterred, so both breeds had very large entries, even in comparison to other breeds.
At the Polish Winner Show in Poznań Uszaki MUUMIPAPPA won his 3rd Junior CC and thanks to that became Polish Junior Champion & additionally Polish Junior Winner'05!

Little red daughter of Bert - "Tuuli" Pirtek VENTO PRIMAVERA made her debut in the show ring with success, going BOS puppy at Puppy Show in Espoo (Finland).
On the last weeknd in October Foka became an International Champion!
She won her last CACIB in a very picturesque city of Tata in Hungary. On Saturday Foka was BOS, with CAC and CACIB (the BOB title went to Bert), while on Sunday Bert was resting and Foka became Best of Breed (with CAC and CACIB of course). What was even nicer, was a comment of the Irish judge, who said that Foka won "by a long mile..."over Open Class winner who came all the way from Finland (!)
At Rakvere National show (Estonia) Uszaki MUUMI went BOB Junior, winning his 3rd Est Junior CC and becoming Estonian Junior Champion!
Later he also became BOB and Best of Group!
On the first Saturday in Ocober (very sunny) we participated in official Agility Competition organised by Plock Dog Sports Club, where Paput & Nutka practice agility & obedience.
It was a great event and quite a success for us, as Bert with Magda (Z.) - on the picture on the left - came second in Agility Open and Jumping Open, while Paput with Magda (K.) - on the picture on the right - for whom it was the first competition ever, completed both Agility Debut class and Jumping Debut class with clear runs (!!!)
and thus qualified for the "O" classes, where they completed Agility with just one fault! Way to go, Paput & Magda!
The agility competition was also a perfect occasion for a family meeting, and so Bert met with his daughter Nutka, and Foka with her son Paput.

"Nutka" Pirtek VENTO NOTTURNO and Paput Uszaki MUUMIPAPPA together with their owners Magda (K.) & Adam and other friends from Płock agility club visited children from an Orphanage in Kutno.
The children could try agility with the dogs, and play with them and hug them and so on. All dogs (especially Nutka) showed immense patience, letting the kids do everything. The kids were overjoyed and now they want another event like that to happen soon. So, cardigans can also be therapy dogs!
Bert for the second time ever competed in the "adult" class at agility competition in Bialystok. He did very well, as he completed all 3 runs! Of course, he caught some penalty points on the way, but at least some of them (if not all) were unfortunately my fault... Anyway, we are going resume trainings (after the summer break) next weekend, so next time we will show them all (heh heh).
Shows in Warsaw are lucky for Vika Uszaki VILIJONKKA.
A few months ago at an International Show here she became BOB, and toady at Warsaw National Show she repeated that result, going BOB again and additionally gaining Polish Junior Champion title (despite being completely "naked")!
Muumi Uszaki MUUMI celebrated his first birthday with another win - this time winning first junior class (not surprisingly, as he won junior class at every (!) show in which he participated) and then becoming BOB with another CC at the Group Show at Turenki (Finland).
Małe Uszaki skończyły już rok! Z tej okazji życzymy im smakołyków, spacerów, przytulania, zabaw i wogóle wszystkiego najlepszego.
Niektore Uszaki obchodziły swoje urodziny na Wystawie Klubowej Corgi, która odbyła się dokładnie w ich urodziny w Pruszkowie.
Impreza była bardzo fajna i dostarczyła wiele radości i zabawy w gronie wielu miłych czworonożnych (i dwunożnych) kolegów i koleżanek.
Najlepiej z obecnych Uszaków wypadl Uszaki Taikuri, "Maki", który po raz pierwszy (!) występował na wystawie i zajął świetne drugie miejsce w klasie młodzeży piesków!
Gratulujemy i dziękujemy jego pani Ani za przybycie i piękne wystawiania "Makiego".
Natomiast Paput Uszaki MUUMIPAPPA okazał się wielkim pechowcem, ponieważ wieczorem przed wystawą jego pani Magda zachorowała i nie mogła przyjechać na wystawę.
Paputa (przywiezionego na wystawe przez swojego pana Adama i Martę - bardzo im dziękuję, że jednak dali radę przyjechać i wytrzymali tak długo) próbowałam pokazać na wystawie ja, co okazało się katastrofą.
Paput zniesmaczony dziwnymi wymaganiami stawianymi przed nim przez jakąś obcą osobę (czyli niestety przeze mnie) odmóił współpracy i nie dał się ocenić sędzinie.
Dopiero na końcu zrozumiał, że jednak to nie jest takie straszne, ale już było za późno na uzyskanie dobrej lokaty (patrz zdjęcia).
W związku z nieobecnością pani Paput również nie został na wspaniały tort urodzinowy, który upiekła pani Viki, Antonina.
Moim, i nie tylko moim, skromnym zdaniem to najpiękniejszy tort urodzinowy wogóle. Vika Uszaki VILIJONKKA, mimo że aktualnie pozbawiona resztek futerka i wyglądająca jak pół siebie, zajęła 3 miejsce w klasie mlodzieży suczek.
W wystawie wziął też udział Bert, który zajął 3 miejsce w bardzo mocnej klasie championów.
Bercik, jak to Bercik, wystaw nie lubi i zwykle przyjmuje mine ciężko obrażonego osła, co nie najlepiej sprawdza się na ringu wystawowym.
Wystaw zupełnie nie lubi też Foka, która tym razem na szczęście mogła tylko obserwować, a potem wzić udział w "dorosłym" przyjęciu (ostatnie zdjecie).

On this very very hot Sunday, at National Show in Toruń Paput Uszaki MUUMIPAPPA became BOB, while BOS title went to his very own sister "Ryfka" Uszaki PIKKU MYY,
for whom it was a show debut!
Little Bert's daughter "Nutka" (Pirtek VENTO NOTTURNO), is already in Poland!
The pictures show her during preparations for her long journey from Finland to Poland and then during the journey - at Latvian beach - with Dorota Wrońska of Gratia Superis cardigans.
And this is what two Bert's sons looked like at the proud age of 9 weeks. They are both leaving soon for their new homes in the United States. The first one is called officially Pirtek VENTO D'MAGGIO, ans the darker one - Pirtek VENTO CALDO. Both are going to live in very nice "cardi' homes and are due to enter American show rings when they grow up a bit.

At the big International Show in Warsaw this time it was Vika Uszaki VILIJONKKA who became Best Of Breed!
And she did this in spite of terribly hot weather, which "changed" her into a hunting dog (with her nose on the ground almost all of the time). Corgis were judged by a breed specialist from Denmark, Mr.Freddie Klindrup.
Wow! I can't help myself and have to say it: Bert's (& Wilma's) Puppies are the most beautiful in the world!
Yes, yes, I know, everybody says that about "their" puppies. But this time it is true (here I should put a winking smiley, but I don't know how...). See yourself!
Today we were at a National Show in Olsztyn. Paput i.e. Uszaki MUUMIPAPPA became BOB and Vika Uszaki VILIJONKKA became BOS.
In Olsztyn we had a very nice meeting with red & blue corgi friends from Lisie Pysie kennel (i.e. Ruda, Blunia & Offset - on the picture) and their non-red & non-blue owners.
Let's hope there will be many nice meetings like this in the future!
On Saturday at an International Show in Parnu (Estonia) Bert won CC & CACIB and became International & Estonian Champion!
Not bad, concidering that he went into the ring just after a 14-hour long car journey and in the middle of a great storm with thunder & all, accompanied by sounds of ambulances saving "storm victims".
And in the up-to-the-knees mud... But later he was beaten by the Best Junior... Mr Muumi Uszaki MUUMI who came here from Finland!

A week after his "after-puppy" debut Uszaki MUUMI went to his next show - National Show in Kotka (Finland), where to everybody's surprise he won Junior class, then became Best Dog and then also Best Of Breed (all this at only 9,5 month of age)!
He also reeived his 3rd CC.
On the first weekend after officially finishing the puppy age (9 months, 1 week) Uszaki MUUMI competed for the first and second time in junior class.
The debut was amazing! On Saturday at National Show at Pieksamaki he became Best Junior and finally also BOS, winning his first CC.
On Sunday at Group Show in Porvoo Muumi also went Best Junior, and was beaten only by the winner of the champion class and became BOS2, winning his second CC!
Uszaki MUUMIMAMMA competed in Porvoo, where she also won junior class.
W niedzielę Bercik zadebiutował w klasie zaawansowanej w zawodach agility - w Pecicach pod Warszawą.
Dowiedzieliśmy się, że były to największe (pod względem liczby uczestników) zawody w Polsce w historii!
Wzięło w nich udział ponad 70 psów. Poszło nam całkiem nieźle, bo w Jumping Open zajęliśmy 2 miejsce (my, tzn. Bert z lekko przeszkadzająca Magda), a to już spore osiągnięcie biorąc pod uwagę, że tory były tak trudne, że prawie 90% psów dostawało dyskwalifikacje!
Dyskwalifikacja spotkała też nas tyle, że wcześniej, ale nie za sprawą slalomu, którego obawiałam się najbardziej (nie ćwiczyliśmy za dużo...) lecz nowych przeszkód, które zostały dowiezione dopiero na zawody.
Przy nowym kole Bert zastanawiał się trochę za długo, którędy tu się skacze i w rezultacie przekroczyliśmy limit czasu w Agility Open (a mielibyśmy tylko jeden bląd...).
Ale następnym razem, to dopiero pokażemy....
On Saturday we went for a short trip to Kaliningrad, where at International Show Bertface="Comic Sans MS" size=2 > became BOB with CC & CACIB, which made him Russian Champion as well.
And all this in spite of many difficulties on the way, like losing the way, car failure and coming late to the ring. But we had an additional reward: the judge took five minutes to check Bert's teeth from each side and definitely annouced that Bert has them all. Wow!
Bert's kids are almost 3 weeks old and their eyes are open!
But even before that they started to show their characters - they captured their mother's food bowl (somehow they found it) and ate all there was in it, while their mother was sitting in the corner and watching her puppies like a big question mark.
Paputek czyli Uszaki MUUMIPAPPA i Vika czyli Uszaki VILIJONKKA zadebiutowały na wystawie w wieku 9 miesięcy i 2 dni!
Była to wystawa krajowa w Płocku, czyli rodzinnym mieście Paputka (na zdjęciu). Oba zaprezentowały się bardzo ładnie, aczkolwiek oba były bardzo "niesforne w ruchu", co też napisała pani sędzina w ich opisach.
Oba dostały ocenę doskonałą i zajęły drugie miejsca w klasie za bardziej doświadczonymi i "sfornymi" konkurentami. Gratulacje!
Berts kids had week !
Like father, like son... A while ago we had a great park meeting with Foka's son "Maki", i.e. Uszaki TAIKURI and his super owner Ania.
The photos from that meeeting show how similar Maki looks to his daddy Taneli, when he was that age. And he would be even more look alike, if only had he kept his tongue in... Similarily to his dad, Maki was the smallest dog in the litter. Let's hope he steps into his father's footsteps (pawsteps??) and grows up to be such a great dog, too!
Bert became dad! Wilma Pirtek Fiume di Luna is the happy (??) mother of 8 beautiful puppies.
There are 4 boys and 4 girls, all brindle with the exception of one red girl. Congratulations to mum, dad (who wasn't shocked at all that he suddenly bacame the father of 8) and the breeder!
Another weekend, another BOB Puppy title, this time for Muumi boy i.e. Uszaki MUUMI, who participated in International Shows in Hamina and Helsinki.
And Muumi girl Uszaki MUUMIMAMMA didn't go to Hamina, but in Helsinki was BOS puppy!
Bert BOG3! Bert & Foka went to their first show since almosts a year back (all-breed national show in Dobre Miasto) and they behaved very nicely, as Foka was BOS and Bert was BOB and later also BOG3 (after a sheltie and a PON)!

Shows, shows... The Muumis went to another show - for the first time not to the same one! And in result both: Uszaki MUUMI as well as his sister Uszaki MUUMIMAMMA were BOB puppy (Muumi in Tallin at Estonia Winner Show and Muumimamma at Raisio Group Show, Finland). Good idea!
The belly is getting huge! This is what Wilma - Pirtek Fiume di Luna looks like in the 48th day of pregnancy.
Wilma's & Bert's puppies should be born in less than two weeks. It looks as if there were a few of them...
At another Puppy Show in Finland (in Somero) this time it was Uszaki MUUMI who went BOB!
Uszaki MUUMIMAMMA was first in 7-9 month bitches class and later BB2, losing to a very nice bitch imported from USA - TrudyTales Lady Mudpaw, who was first in 5-7 month bitches class.
And in the end both Muumis (bravely handled by Annette) went BIS 4 Brace! I heard they beheved very well...
Kirsi's house in Mantsala was the venue of a great cardi meeting, with both Muumis (i.e. Muumi & Muumimamma) and their lovely families, room-mate cardis, and other invited Finnish & Polish guests.
The Muumis have grown up very much since I last saw them (when they were 9 weeks old) and are veeery nice (and veeeery energetic). But they did not remember me (darn...)
Bert is going to be a father!
For Easter we had a very special visitor from Finland: a beautiful bitch Pirtek Fiume di Luna "Wilma", who on Easter Sunday "married" Bert.
Wilma is a very successfull show dog: Interchampion, Champion of Finland, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, and on top of that she is extremely nice, well-behaved and cuddly! It is now cetrain that the trip to Warsaw was "successful" and at the end of May puppies will be born at Pirtek Kennel!
We started agility trainings (please visit the website of our agility club - Alternatywa - find link under "Links"). For the beginning our favourite instructor Daria prepared for all three dogs (Blue, Ginny & Bert) and their poor owners (Ola, Jim & Magda) a set of "terrible" excercises, which you can see on Ola's website, which is also the source of the picture placed here (taken by Piotrek) - I hope they will not be mad at me...
Muumi & Muumi successful again! At Lahti Puppy Show Uszaki MUUMI was again BOS puppy, while his sisterUszaki MUUMIMAMMA was Best Bitch and BOB!
And this is what the judge wrote about her: "Very charming, very good structured, feminine overall expression, very balanced and moves freely, lovely expression, strong bone, beautiful coat". Wow!
Two Uszaki puppies took part in their first show (in Helsinki, Finland). "Muumi" boy (i.e. Uszaki MUUMI) became Best Male Puppy (winning with 3 older ones) but lost the title of BOB puppy to his own sister "Muumi" girl (i.e. Uszaki MUUMIMAMMA
First Uszaki puppies celebrated their first half-bithday today! Best wishes to them all (and of course, to their owners!)
Each Sunday a group of corgis (and corgi owners) meet in one of Warsaw parks for a great Sunday walk. And this is what the dogs look like after the walk... (no, it's not travelling dog sale)
We are famous! Well...maybe not quite yet, but pictures of us (i.e. Bert & Magda) were published in the biggest Polish dog magazine called "My Dog - Moj Pies". We were pictured showing how to teach agility to beginners! We were not the only "team" featured, as also Blue & Ola showed their stuff. If you look carefully, you will see that Blue was far too fast for the poor lighting conditions that day...
